Meditation Techniques
Meditation is a powerful way to relax, clear your
mind and connect to that inner part of you which controls our thoughts, emotions and inner sense of well
being.
It is through this connection that we meditate to try and control the thoughts,
which govern our lives and our circumstances.
Use the following meditation techniques to experiece the many benefits of meditation and to help bring about a deeper connection with
your spiritual self and reach a deeper level of relaxation and meditation.

1. Wear Comfortable Clothing
When preparing to meditate it is important that you are comfortable. Find some
loose fitting comfortable clothes to wear. Organic cotton is a good fabric because it allows your body to breathe
and is not restricting or uncomfortable. There are places where you can purchase clothes specifically designed for
meditation.
2. Find Your Spot
It is important to pick a spot to do your meditation that is both secure and free of distractions.
This place will soon become your energy center and will hold the vibrations of your meditations. It must be a place
where you feel comfortable and at ease.
There must be a feeling of security and peace in the place you choose. The
reasons are obvious. You want as little distractions as possible, which will interfere with you reaching a pure
blissful state. You may also experiment with different places both inside and outside to help bring your
meditations to a higher level.
Every place has a different vibration and once you progress in your meditation
techniques you will learn to pick up on these subtle energy differences.
3. The Best Position
There are different positions you can use during your meditations and it is up to you to choose the position that
is right for you. The most common position is seated on the floor with your back held perfectly straight. There are
some people that prefer to meditate lying down.
Regardless of which position you choose make sure that you keep you back
perfectly straight so that the energy in your body has a straight channel to flow. As we meditate we will be
opening up our chakras and the energy, which flows, must be allowed to move
freely. Concentrate on holding this position in the beginning and it will get much easier for you as your
meditation techniques are perfected.
When first starting out try to meditate for 10 minutes at a time. If you can
do it twice a day you will be able to train your body to be comfortable in this position. To help strengthen the
back it would be a good idea to adopt a fitness routine or even take some yoga classes to help strengthen and build up your
muscles.
