Associated with stress is anxiety. This
problem plagues millions of people worldwide and is responsible for depression and even worse. There is no worse
feeling than to feel like you can’t breath and that you may be having a heart attack. It is a psychological
ailment, which manifests itself physically. For those that suffer from these problems there is no greater need than
to get rid of these feelings and feel whole again.
Meditate to reduce stress and anxiety
Meditation was my solution to reduce the stress and anxiety in my life. The
effects were peace of mind and it helped me to stop worrying about every little thing that happened in my life.
Meditation became a haven for the problems, which I gave so much weight to. It helped me to put everything into
perspective and helped me realize that I needed to stop and smell the roses and not worry if I was going to get
pricked by the thorns.
Life goes on and any amount of worrying on your part is not going to change that.
Our thoughts control our reality so it is important to learn to control your thoughts. When we have a negative
thought we are programming negative things into our lives. When we have positive thoughts we are programming
positive things to come into our lives.
Stress and anxiety are a
direct result of our thoughts and how we are programming our minds. Every time you have a negative thought come
into your mind say to yourself “ I don’t acknowledge this thought”. I will not allow this thought to control my
life. I am the master of my thoughts and I will only allow positive thoughts to enter my mind. This will make
dramatic changes in your life in a very short period of time. Give it a try.
Breathing Technique
Another way you can stop an anxiety attack is to do a breathing technique, which has been proven to be very
successful. When you start feeling anxious or stressful close your eyes and concentrate on your breath. Breath
deeply into your stomach. Feel the air filling up your stomach and then slowly exhale through your nose. Actually
extend your stomach with each breath. Do this until you feel the anxiety start to melt away.
We must realize that we have the power to take control of our lives and we have the
power to control stress and anxiety. Take the time to get to know the real you and that you are a spiritual being
endowed with all the gifts of the universe at your disposal. Take control of your body and your emotions and you
will take control of your stress and anxiety.
Find the strength within yourself to declare “ I am a strong uniquely special being
and I am in control of every situation”. “I will not give in to negative thoughts that will harm and control
me”.
